1. USA Manager


In this fast-paced environment, we’re looking for a USA Manager to lead the American chapters from our Houston office. Currently, AlMaghrib operates in 19 American cities such as New York, Houston, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Chicago with strategies in place for expansion.

Responsibilities:



  • Manage operations in all American city chapters

  • Coordinating fundraising for AlMaghrib Institute Waqf

  • Ascertaining growth opportunities financially and geographically

  • Lead and motivate teams of volunteers across the nation

  • Oversee planning and execution of effective marketing plans for each chapter

  • Develop and foster relations with grassroots organizations

  • Streamline instructor logistics at all levels

  • Recruit, select, and develop chapter heads

  • Liaise between USA chapters and global headquarters

  • Report to senior management (CEO, VP Operations and VP Finance)


Requirements



  • University degree (minimum Bachelor’s)

  • Legally allowed to work in the US

  • 3-5 years in a managerial/leadership role for a recognized organization

  • Experience with fundraising and product sale

  • Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally for short or long durations

  • Availability on evenings and weekends

  • Passion for Da’wah and Islamic Education

  • Exceptional manners, etiquettes and Islamic behavior

2. Social Media Manager


You’ll be the creative juice behind AlMaghrib’s online presence and personality, a highly driven, autonomous professional in charge of various social media accounts (Blogs, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, etc), preferably out of either our Houston or Toronto offices.

Responsibilities



  • Design and execute social media strategy including social ad campaigns;

  • Create daily content (original text, images, video) and adapt to each social network;

  • Build, facilitate and moderate online community engagement;

  • Cultivate leads and generate inbound traffic;

  • Set up and optimize each platform to increase visibility of social content;

  • Capture and analyze appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices;

  • Conduct competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification;

  • Collaborate with other departments to manage online messaging and positioning, identify key players, and coordinate actions;

  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.


Requirements



  • 2-3 years experience in running social media campaigns;

  • Willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines;

  • Passion for Da’wah and Islamic Education;

  • Exceptional manners, etiquettes and Islamic behavior


Skills



  • Ability to connect with people and stimulate discussion;

  • Copywriting, graphic design and video editing skills;

  • Knowledge of social analytics tools and social networking;

  • Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels;

  • Enjoys a working knowledge of blogging ecosystem;

  • Strategic, long-term and creative thinking;

  • Excellent communication – written and verbal;

  • Maintains working knowledge of SEO principles including keyword research;

You’ll be working closely with AlMaghrib’s senior management, namely its CEO and its Vice President of Operations.

Responsibilities:

  • be the first point of contact on behalf of senior management;

  • devise and maintain office systems, including data management and filing;

  • arrange travel and accommodation

  • screening enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate;

  • organize and set up meetings and appointments with clients;

  • maintain meeting minutes and assisting with presentations;

  • produce documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations;

  • taking on some of senior management responsibilities, making decisions and delegating work in management’s absence;

  • being involved in decision-making process;

You’ll be the face of the Institute for students, providing support and information in the front line.

Responsibilities

  • help develop and implement student service policy;

  • find ways to measure student satisfaction and improve services;

  • provide help and advice to students;

  • communicate courteously with students by phone or email;

  • investigate and solve students’ problems;

  • handle student complaints or any major incidents;

  • process transactions and issue refunds as needed;

  • keep accurate record of discussions or correspondence;

  • produce written information for students;

  • meet with managers to discuss improvements;

  • learn about the Institute’s seminars and services and keep up to date with changes;

  • keep ahead of developments in support services by researching and attending courses.


 

Requirements

  • 3-5 years work experience;

  • Willingness to work extra hours to meet deadlines;
